My name is Alycia Edgar. I’m an accountant and former surf shop owner, who understands the issues small businesses face every day. I believe you can work on your business effectively, simply by understanding your business numbers and implementing systems.

Through virtual and face-to-face services and coaching programs, my team and I help business owners realise their entrepreneurial potential by understanding what these numbers are, the story behind them, and how to create innovative systems and processes to drive the profits of their businesses.

We also provide accountancy services to clientele Australia wide.

Previously I’ve worked in a variety of industries, such as accounting and investment firms, government and small and medium businesses in management, financial accounting and information systems.

As the owner of a surf shop for five years, I gained the ability to relate to small business owners about the issues they face in their businesses every day – because I was facing the same issues. Whether they were financial issues, such as cash flow, or staffing, marketing and promotions, time erosion from working in the business, lack of focus due to interruptions or my speciality, understanding the story behind the financial numbers and what can be done about it.

The retail business was also the catalyst for my product Bookzkeeper-The Accounting Survival Kit for Small Business. I used this system within my own business, and then with my clients’ businesses, and their tax accountants were amazed at how organised everything was. Not only that, but their tax was completed in record time with minimum fuss.

I know accounting and financial numbers can be tricky to grasp, especially for creative types. I can help you understand your business numbers, the story behind them and the ways to improve them. Being organised in business is one of the challenges that, once achieved, can make business owners and their businesses extremely effective and productive. I achieve this through coaching sessions and implementing systems, procedures and processes.
